Services offered at our Child and Family Centres
Services available to prisoners and their families beyond our Centres
Programs available to children of prisoners include:

Mentors are trained volunteers who meet with the child
on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis.
- Group Work Program offers peer support to kids affected by having a parent in the criminal justice system, in a friendly, relaxed environment.
Programs available to prisoners and their families include:
- 'Belonging to Family' is a support program for Koori Dads inside The Mid North Correctional Centre, with 6-12 months to serve, and their families. Run over 10 weeks, the program involves the inmate Dad, his partner or children's carer, his children, extended family and community Elders.
- Video Visits use video conferencing to stay in touch with your parent in prison. SHINE for Kids arranges a time for your family at a local community venue with the video conferencing set-up.
